Core Values
The Essential Bond of Love
The goal of our instruction is love. Love is the bond that holds us together, the continuing debt we owe. A great church is one that serves in love.
Discerning the Body of Christ
We seek to embrace and encourage all believers, recognizing that God means for us to strengthened by diversity and that excluding other Christians will only result in limited perspective and weakness.
Raising Up A Godly Generation
It is our responsibility to raise up a Godly generation. Children do not make up a seperate group, but are an integral part of all we do.
Harvest the Hurting
Part of the idea expressed by "Open Door" is the Lord's desire love the unlovely, the outcast, the broken - not showing preference to those who have value in this world, but calling sinners to repentance, offering healing to the sick.
Meekness and Gentleness
Anger is not the tool we use to lead or relate to people.
Authenticity
Only as we are open, transparent, accountable, and honest with God and each other will we experience the abundant life Jesus came to give.
Relationship
As a family, we recognize the need to know one another, and to be known by each other. All church ministry proceeds out of our relationships. The goal then, of all programs, is to serve people, not to be served by people.
Discipleship
The church is commaneded to go and make disciples. Discipleship is a lifelong process which begins with salvation. As we follow Christ, we help others along by sharing with them what we've been given. It is our desire to reach, mend, train and send.
Innocence
Our church is to have integrity, purity, and (w)holiness that protects the flock of God from evil while being a light to a world lost in darkness.
Excellence
It is required in a steward that he be faithful. Siple organization and quality communication are fundamental to effective, fruitful ministry.
Discerning the Times
The Spriit of the Lord directs the church to fruitful works effective in our culture and times. WE must be willing to change our methods as needs require.
Keeping His Word
The Holy Bible is the inspiried, authoritative Word of God and our only rule for faith and practice.
Eldership
The local church is led by men holding the office of elder (bishop) whose job to willingly shepherd the flock of God as those who must give an account for the souls of the congregation.
5-fold Gifts
We recognize and seek the influence of those gifted as apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and techer.
Holy Spirit
We embrace the public manifestation of the gifts, ministry, and power of the Holy Spirit.
